Captain Morgan was born and raised on Tybee Island and has spent her life exploring the waters of coastal Georgia. Growing up surrounded by marshes and tidal creeks sparked an early passion for boating, fossil hunting, and marine exploration. At just 8 years old, she discovered a mastodon tooth in the Savannah River, leading the fossil hunting site to become locally known as “Morgan’s Island.” In addition to life on the water, she is also a landscape artist specializing in marsh and wildlife scenes through her creative brand, Captain Morgan Studio.
Captain Morgan earned her Georgia boating license at 13 and learned the local waterways alongside her father through years of fishing and exploring Little Tybee. She later became a first mate with Sundial Charters before earning her OUPV Captain’s License through Sea School in Charleston at 19 years old. She has guided wildlife and fossil hunting tours throughout the coastal creeks and continues pursuing her passion while studying marine biology and scientific diving in Fort Lauderdale. Her experience ranges from charter operations and fishing vessels to diving and yacht work, giving her a well-rounded background both above and below the water.
